ELHS
online health and safety
training
boosts building sector
A Midland company is
building on its online expertise to help contractors and
sub-contractors in the construction industry secure work in the
education sector.
Repairs and other
building work at schools is often put out to tender in a rush after
the funding is released but it demands high health and safety levels
from all those employed on the project.
The problem facing
contractors is that many do not have retained staff and have little
or no time to train those taken on for the project who are not up to
speed with health and safety guidelines.

Learning Health and Safety is offering construction employers and
employees complete RoSPA approved online health and safety training.
The courses are emailed
to the contractor who then ensures that when work starts all
employees have been updated, and once completed the results and
certificates are automatically stored for records and auditing
purposes.
ELHS produces over 60
courses applicable to the construction industry ranging from manual
handling and height safety to environmental awareness and asbestos
safety.
For those where
internet access is a problem, courses can be downloaded and stored so
that training can take place at more appropriate locations.
