Asbestos Risk Assessment Birmingham

Asbestos Risk Assessment and Training Birmingham
Asbestos Risk Assessment is another important safety area regulated by the health and safety act.

The duty to manage asbestos is a legal requirement under the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 (Regulation 4).

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006 became law in November 2006.

The Regulations prohibit the importation, supply and use of all forms of asbestos. They continue the ban introduced for blue and brown asbestos in 1985 and for white asbestos in 1999.

They also continue to ban the second-hand use of asbestos products such as asbestos cement sheets and asbestos boards and tiles; including panels which have been covered with paint or textured plaster containing asbestos.

The duty to manage covers all non-domestic premises. Such premises include all industrial, commercial or public buildings such as factories, warehouses, offices, shops, hospitals and schools. It applies to the owners and occupiers of commercial premises (such as shops, offices, industrial units etc) who have any responsibility for maintenance and repair activities.

If you think you may be affected by theses regulations or you may have asbestos or asbestos related materials in your premises just click the link below and you can contact Global compliance Solutions for advice, training or an asbestos risk assessment.
